The Jamber Verdict

For several weeks most of us could not help getting dragged into the salacious details of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s torrid marital life. The sad part about the whole trial is the fact that AH broadcasted to the news and the world that JD was a wife beater.

Subsequently ruining his reputation and livelihood as a well sought-after actor. Having been an abused woman myself, I think the battle has been one of the greatest tragedies for women. This was not a situation where a woman was pummeled night and day by her powerful husband, and she could not fight back.

The evidence highlights that the abusive behaviors were a regular occurrence in the marital relationship. She hit him almost as often as he hit her. Many times, she was the aggressor and harasser.

In summary, their home was like a WWF smackdown all day every day. This was appalling. As a woman, from the first sign of violence or the idea that he was making her “act out of character” she should have left.

He also should have put the kibosh on the back-and-forth violence by extricating himself as well. Fundamentally, this was a scenario where a beautiful starlet felt that she could “play” her minted husband.

For a while, it may have worked as he was probably enthralled by her beauty and risqué nature. But the same things he may have lauded her for, turned out to be the tiny irritations that eventually teared them apart.

For instance, he knew that she was bi-sexual and flirtatious when it came to matters of the opposite sex. So why allow someone with a colorful relationship history to push all your buttons via his/her escapades?

There is no doubt that JD went through a lot but in some respects, it was karma tapping him on the shoulders. He was in a sold, long-term relationship with an accomplished woman, and he wrecked it to be with AH.

He has inadvertently become the poster person for men who believe the grass is always greener on the other side. Personally, I believe he should have been repaid his divorce settlement and she should have forgotten about the countersuit.

She was awarded 2 million to appease the abused women special interest groups who bought out her story initially. This was not an abused woman’s story. This was a love relationship where both partners engaged in physical violence with each other on a regular basis. AH has set woman back several years because now when a woman cries abuse there will be skeptics especially if she fights back in self-defense.

She was no long-suffering damsel that was wailed on night and day and could not figure a way out. She could have left at any time. She stayed because she enjoyed the cat and mouse games that were being played out and probably the publicity that the dysfunction offered her in the end game.
