Chappaquiddick in Edgartown

Martha’s Vineyard is an island in Massachusett’s that is south of Cape Cod and has been a long time vacation retreat made famous by the Kennedys and America’s Black Elite. Edgartown in particular is a classic New England Seaport Village that is quaint and charming.

In the nineties, Edgartown was the playground of affluent Black Americans seeking a more laid back atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan cities. The Vineyard and Cape Cod are truly magical places as the people are warm, and welcoming. The area reminds its visitors of remote islands in the Caribbean.

Therefore, towards the end of last summer when the news broke that a renowned White House Chef who was currently working for former President Barack Obama and family had drowned, I thought it quite alarming. Simply because, when the news initially was announced, the newscaster declared the drowning had occurred on the property of the Obamas in a private pool.

They also stated that president Obama was previously swimming in the pool minutes prior to the drowning. They claimed that at the time of the drowning the secret service were nowhere to be found.

This bit of information in itself was puzzling to me. As far as I knew, presidents and former presidents are never without their secret service detail whether they are alone or in the company of others. At the time of the report, they also stated that the chef was writing a tell all book about his life in the White House.

Instinctively, I wondered if someone wanted to silence him. Since the first news break about the tragic event occurred in July of 2023, the whole incident seemed to be hush-hush and there was not even a whisper about the developments.

I tried researching the matter and could not find a smidgeon of information. However, recently the incident has become a main topic of discussion. Some people believe there is more to the story. My empathetic feelings are that this fellow/chef was about to dish regarding his time in the employment of the Obamas. I do not think some of the information was flattering.

Ever since the Obamas took over the White House there has been insinuations of clandestine happenings, talk of transgender associations and other inappropriate gender conversations. Some have even alluded to the possibility of a D/L lifestyle. Interestingly, the versions of the tragic incident that are circulating now are completely different than what was first announced.

As a matter of fact, it has been reported that the Obamas were not home when the drowning occurred and the chef was actually paddle boarding in a public lake near their property. The explanation sounds kind of strange since he must have visited the island to see the Obama family.

Also, the fact that no one goes paddle boarding in a huge lake without a life preserver jacket or a companion just in case something went wrong. Martha’s Vineyard and Edgartown are small enough places that if notable figures are around someone is always watching. Especially persons of color.

Therefore, for this individual to drown without a trace and for his body not to be retrieved until 24 hours later seems kind of odd especially in a lake. The Great Pond Lake in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard is 890 acres which roughly is about 1.39062 miles.

Due to the high profile nature of the case, diving and forensic experts should have been able to cover much territory within hours of the drowning. If it were the Atlantic ocean it would be a different story. This was a much more contained body of water.

There has been a lot of speculation around the drowning especially since Tarik Campbell was not the first White House chef to die in a drowning incident. Chef Scheib who worked in the White House during the Clinton Administration also died in a mysterious drowning accident.

Spiritual pundits would often say there are no coincidences in life. These drownings would suggest that perhaps these persons were allegedly “done away with” because of their first hand knowledge of the intimate goings on in the White House.

The fact there are varying stories and an element of secrecy concerning this matter sort of suggests there may be a huge cover up. I seriously mulled over writing this blog post since there are die-hard Obama supporters who are persecuting anyone who has anything negative or questionable to say about him or his family.

I get the fact that Black Americans have lost most of their notable citizens and they will do whatever it takes to protect the ones that are bringing accolades to their race. Nonetheless, this matter is quite disturbing especially if the original report was true.

In the sixties, the Kennedys had to deal with Chappaquddick. This Edgartown drowning story is gaining momentum especially as the election draws nigh. My intuition tells me that this horrible tragedy is going to be the Chappaquiddick story of the Millennium.

What if someone sneaked unto the Obama compound to eliminate him but offed the chef by mistake? Surely that is a bit of information that no one wants to publicize and would explain why no one would confirm whether the family was there or not.

We are living in times where it is prudent for leaders to leave an air of mystery as to where they retire to during the night hours. Either way, this tragedy is very perplexing and strange on so many levels. Nothing that I have read so far has convinced me that this was an accidental death. If anything, the chef’s death was meant to be either a silencer or a wake up call for all parties involved.
